CORRECTION

·        Jesus says that if your brother has done something wrong, correct him(Mt 18 )

·        Be concerned about one another and support one another.

·        We live as a community, without personal agendas.

·        Fraternal correction comes when others see                                     something you don’t notice.

Practicalities

1.           Something undesirable has happened. This could include breaking of rules/disobedience/being out of place/other indescribable activities.

2.           Discern if the matter is grave or trivial. If grave then take strict action.

3.           Care front your own companion who is involved in the above                   activities.

4.            By care fronting, you are actually giving 

the other permission to  fraternally correct you as well.

5.           Fraternal correction will lead you to a 

growth in personal convictions.

Caution

1.           Correct out of concern – not malice or revenge.

2.           It is a help for you and the other – St. John               Bosco.

3.           Should not lead to irritation.

4.           Correct because of love, not self love.

5.           We can’t live indifferent.

6.           Internal disposition is required while giving  and receiving fraternal                   correction.

        Fraternal correction also involves fraternal                                                                     appreciation.
